Alarm Monitoring
Where a monitored alarm system is required, we link our customers through to a dedicated 24 hours, 7 days a week, Alarm Receiving Centre (Southern Monitoring Services) where trained staff monitor alarm signals 24 hours a day, every day of the year.
If an alarm signal is sent, the Alarm Receiving Centre operators will take the necessary action. One of those actions will include calling the property to check the alarm signal is genuine and then, if necessary, calling the emergency services and nominated keyholders.
(1) ARC listens via microphone
Intruder attempts to break in and activates the intruder alarm, which is linked directly with Southern Monitoring Services alarm receiving centre. Trained staff listen into the property immediately.
(2) Trained staff challenge via speaker
The intruder is then challenged by trained staff at ARC via a speaker in the property. They will then take the correct necessary action.
(3) Emergency services alerted
The Police are then contacted to attend the property, and the intruder will flee the property, empty handed. Keyholders will also be notified.
