Installation of a multi loop open protocol analogue addressable fire alarm

We were entrusted with the supply, installation and commissioning of a multi loop 'open protocol' analogue addressable fire alarm system to give the college a comprehensive coverage of manual and automatic equipment for life and building fire protection for this major refurbishment project.

These works were also carried out in conjunction with the supply installation and commissioning of a fully compliant refuge alert system which was also interfaced with the new fire alarm system.

The 'art house project' at Somerset College has been the refurbishment and construction of the art and design building with original parts of the building dating back to the 1970's. This is part of the creation of a university centre for the growing importance to Taunton and the wider region as a provider of first-rate further and higher education with close links to commercial partners and a commitment to employability. The art-house project is part of a wider development plan for the college.
